Healthcare & baby weighing. Clinics, hospitals, paediatric units.
Eagle Weigh's baby-weighing card handles the one thing standard scale cards can't: a moving subject. Custom stabilisation firmware captures the weight of a wriggling infant or shaking patient cleanly, with peak-hold for repeat-display.
The wriggling-infant problem.
A standard weighing scale averages the reading over a settled second. Place a calm adult on it, it works perfectly. Place a 4-month-old infant, and the reading never settles — the baby kicks, twists, reaches for the parent's finger. The scale chases a moving target and reports a number that drifts by 100–300 grams from second to second.
Eagle Weigh's baby-weighing card was designed for exactly that scene. The firmware applies a stabilisation algorithm — instead of averaging, it identifies the median weight across a 3-second window, rejecting outliers from kick-and-twist motion. The clinic gets a clean, repeatable number even on the most active infant. The same logic applies to elderly patients with tremor.
Why healthcare is a stabilisation problem.
Clinical weighing isn't about precision — a 10 g error on a 4 kg infant is clinically irrelevant. It's about repeatability under motion. Standard scale firmware averages; our healthcare firmware filters. The difference shows up as soon as the patient moves.
The compact cabinet matters too. Paediatric clinics often have limited counter space — the indicator sits at the edge of the changing tray, the cell underneath. Our healthcare cabinets fit a 30 × 30 cm footprint.

Healthcare FAQ.
How fast does the stabilisation work on a kicking baby?
The 3-second median window settles within 4 seconds on most infants. For very active subjects, the hold-key lets the operator freeze the reading manually.
Is the tray easy to clean between patients?
Yes — the aluminium tray lifts off the cell for a wipe-down between patients. Standard disinfectant wipes; no IP-class concerns for indoor clinic use.
Can we use the same indicator for adults and infants?
Yes — the same IND-01 / baby-card pair drives both. The 25 kg tray and 150 kg adult platform are interchangeable cells on the same indicator.
Does it print a slip for the patient's file?
Optional — a printer indicator variant prints a clinic-format slip with date, time, weight and the optional patient ID field.
How is it different from a kitchen scale?
The firmware. A kitchen scale averages a 1-second window of static weight. The healthcare card identifies the median across motion and rejects outlier samples.
