Industrial & platform scales. Bench, platform, bag, hopper, check-weigher.
The industrial card series runs general-purpose weighing across the platform-scale spectrum — bench scales, bag weighers, hopper weighers, piece-counting, check-weighing. Paired with the right load cell (642 / 646B aluminium for light loads, 310 / 410 steel for heavier) and an isolated RS232 indicator.
A platform on a packaging floor.
On a small-goods packaging floor in Manesar, a line worker is bagging 500 g sachets of seed oil. The platform scale sits at the bagging station — every bag drops onto the platform, the indicator beeps when the bag is within tolerance (498–502 g), beeps differently when it's under, halts the line when three bags in a row are out. The line runs at 32 bags per minute. The scale runs as long as the line does — 14 hours a shift.
Industrial platform weighing isn't a single product — it's a family of cell-and-cabinet permutations to fit the bench, the bag, the hopper, the silo, the quality-control line. Eagle Weigh's industrial card series sits at the centre of that family.
Why industrial weighing is a permutation problem.
Every industrial customer's stack is different. Bench scale for a quality lab? AL single-point cell + small platform. Bag-weigher for packaged goods? SS platform + check-weigh firmware. Hopper under a silo? Three shear-beam cells in compression. Piece-counter for a screws-and-nuts line? The standard card with a high-resolution mode.
We don't sell a part — we configure a stack. Tell us the application, the platform size, the capacity, the integration. Three questions resolve almost every industrial brief.
The industrial stack.
-
Industrial card series
General-purpose cards across S-series for the platform you're building — choose by ADC, voltage, display family.
-
AL / steel platform cells
310 cut-size and 410 regular/Jumbo platforms from 1 t to 3 t. IP67 sealing for indoor industrial use.
-
Check-weigh indicator
Within-tolerance / over / under output for in-line quality control. Pass/fail-with-hold mode for sample audits.
-
Shear-beam cells for hoppers
500 kg to 5 t shear-beam (SESB) cells in compression — for hopper, silo and tank-base platforms.
-
Junction box
4 / 6 / 8 load-cell summing junction boxes — metal, ABS and SS variants. Brass-nickel-plated connectors.
Spec at a glance.
| Spec | Value |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 1 t to 5 t standard platforms; 10 t+ on shear-beam compression stack |
| Resolution | Step size selectable at calibration — typically 1/3000 to 1/10000 of capacity |
| Modes | Standard · piece-count · check-weigh · peak-hold · set-point |
| Connectivity | Isolated RS232 · USB · PLC-friendly digital outputs on check-weigh variant |
| Cell mounting | 4 / 6 / 8 cell summing supported via junction box |
| IP class | IP67 on the cell · cabinet IP54 for indoor industrial |
| Warranty | 1 year + service-contract option for high-uptime lines |
Where the industrial stack ships.
-
Packaging lines
Bag, sachet and pouch weigh-and-fill operations. Check-weigh indicator + AL platform stack.
-
Cement / chemical batching
Hopper-base weighing for batched ingredient dispensing. Shear-beam + junction-box stack.
-
Logistics warehouses
Inbound-goods receiving platforms. Heavy-platform 1–3 t stack with USB export to the WMS.
-
Quality-control labs
Sample weighing on a bench. Standard S-series card with high-resolution mode.
-
Hopper / silo bases
Three- or four-cell compression mounts under a silo. Junction box sums and the indicator reads total mass.
-
Piece-counter applications
Hardware-shop counting of screws, washers, nuts. Sample-weigh, then scale-count workflow.
Industrial FAQ.
What cell goes under a 2-tonne capacity platform?
Single shear-beam (1 t per cell, two cells parallel) for a centred load, or four-cell mounting for an off-centre load. Our sales desk picks based on the platform geometry.
Can the indicator drive my PLC?
Yes — the check-weigh indicator carries digital outputs (under/over/within) that wire directly into a PLC. RS232 is also available for richer integration.
How does piece-counting work?
Sample 10 (or 100) parts on the platform; the card divides total weight by sample count to get unit weight; then scales weight to count. Standard workflow on the S-series cards.
What's the warranty on the platform?
1 year on the cell + indicator. Mechanical platform structure (the steel frame) is supplied per-spec; structural warranty depends on the fabricator.
How do you handle multi-cell mounting?
Junction box with adjustable trimming — we pre-trim at our bench so cell-to-cell variance is corrected before the box ships.
Building a platform-scale line?
Tell us the platform size, the capacity, and whether piece-counting or check-weighing is part of the workflow. We'll spec a full stack.
